The Sherwood Sisters Family Reunion
April 10 — 12, 2015
Cuyahoga Valley National Park
(south of Cleveland, Ohio)
Margaret Sherwood Gonzalez & her husband (Mauro), Betsey Sherwood Nibeck, holding her son (Don) & her husband (Donald) and Mary Sherwood Dally are shown in this picture taken in 1929. Chris Nibeck, one of Betsey' grandsons, decided it would be great fun to hold a reunion in honor of these women. We invite all descendants the Sherwood sisters to join us at the Stanford House in Cuyahoga Valley National Park from April 10 to April 12, 2015. Come to share stories about you family and remembrances of our ancestors. Traditionally family holidays were celebrated with dinner at one of the sisters' homes. We decided to rent the Standord House so we could all be together! The Stanford House has 9 bedrooms with a total of 30 beds. A large, commercial kitchen will allow us to prepare our meals, renewing the holiday tradition. The only cost information we have is the rental for the Stanford House (a little less than $2,000 for the weekend ($100/person based on 20 participants). Once we have a list of attendees we will plan meals and determine food costs. For information about the Stanford House visit their website. | Stanford House – Cuyahoga Valley National Park Built in 1843, this historic home can sleep up to 30 people.
Why a Reunion in Ohio? We hope to have most of the Sherwood sisters descendants participate in this reunion so we looked for a geographically convenient location. Our family is distributed in three general locations. Cuyahoga Valley National Park Annapolis, MD, is about 375 miles from Annapolis, MD, 360 miles from Chicago and 545 miles from St. Louis. Please email us if you would like to attend or if you have any questions. We hope you can attend! |
